In collaboration with Pinkstinks Germany we analysed the most watched Covid-19 advertisements on YouTube, showing that men spoke 66% of the time and that there was more silence in the ads then there were female voices.

Swedish innovation agency Vinnova has provided 2,4 million SEK in funding for Ceretai to investigate norms in the film industry. We established a standard for evaluating the norm and looked into how these affected the film industry’s business models. Now we are working with Women in Film and Television International, SF Studios and Herflix to develop AI solutions for identifying and promoting norm-critique in Swedish and international movies.

We analysed German broadcaster ARD’s news show Tagesschau and provided a Diversity Report including a comparison with ZDF’s Heute. The report contained analysis of how much men and women spoke and which roles they were portrayed in (news anchor/correspondent/external source), among other things.

Data-driven diversity and inclusion project

We analysed gender diversity from audio recordings of the tech conference D:PULSE. We also conducted a survey among the visitors of the conference, and compared their guesses of the gender representation with the true results.
